Welcome to the new place for Matt Corton the author, also known as MCAuthor. This is a bit of a new thing for me. In addition to this site, I have also created a patreon where I will share exclusive stories and more to members, as well as other things. This place, though, this is just for the novels. This is the Premier League of my passions, long-form fiction. For those new to me, I write, mainly, horror, but horror with both a heart and, usually, a twinge of thriller. I've always thought that the real world can be best understood not only through fiction, but through fantastical fiction most of all. As both a reader and writer, I've always found that it's in the unreal that humanity can often find its realest self.

More on that, in the next blog post. This is just a hi, a wave, and a new beginning in the wake of a goodbye - for yesterday, I quit social media. No need to go into the whys, but I felt a more dedicated and true space was required and I'm very much hoping that this will be it and that you'll pop along for this macabre journey I'd love to take you on with my novels.

More to come soon!
